Description of the research topic:

The relationship between viruses and their natural hosts and their spreading vectors is determined by extremely complex virological, immunological and genetic processes, which, viewed from a larger perspective, can reveal extremely significant evolutionary relationships and stories measured by scientific standards. Genomic analysis of host-virus interactions is a common and established method for understanding evolutionary implications and supporting functional observations. The complexity and aspects of the endogenous viral elements and the gene level of the host can reveal significant processes not only from the point of view of evolution, but also from the point of view of immunological or antiviral mechanisms. In the framework of the program, the doctoral student uses the relevant tools of genomics to search for answers to understand the significant, long-scale evolutionary processes of virology today.
