Description of the research topic:

Tourism is increasingly a strategic key factor for economic growth and in regional development. Tourism is a sector with positive impacts on the economic growth and the regional development. This is an important development tool that provides economic, social and political development in a region. Tourism plays an important role in the development of many regions, in particular the less developed regions, due to its considerable spill-over and job creation potential.

Aims and objectives:

- To analyse the complexity of the economic impacts of tourism and its connection to regional development.

- To evaluate the economic, social, political impacts and accessibility of tourism.

- To search, plan and manage tourism projects and products.

- To use new research methods and techniques.

- To search the connection between sustainability, tourism, regional development and economic growth.

- To use results for tourism and environmental education.
