Description of the research topic:

No development can bring resounding success to an area or local community if the intervention was not careful enough. The outcome of actions and reactions can be realized in countless forms, therefore it would naturally be impossible to model all combinations, so a general approach is needed that can serve as a basis for each intervention.
We are often faced with the question of what makes a development strategy sustainable. What does sustainability mean, and is there a general approach that can describe these conditions in the territory or communities of any country. Each area has different physical and mental characteristics, so there is a development concept that can be applied in one country and the same concept causes damage in another.
Rural and regional development can be understood as an interdisciplinary scientific field that synthesizes several scientific fields, and due to its complexity, it is built from many approaches. These approaches often have systems theory roots, and there is a great demand for their summation.
Due to the complexity of the topic, the following subtopics were defined:
• Reinterpreting the model of sustainable development in rural and regional development
• Examination of endogenous development approaches and developments generated by the local community
• Examination of social innovation theories, endogenous innovation potential
• Spatial correlations of the spread of innovation in the light of territorial differences
• Examining the possibilities of circular economic theories in rural and regional development
