Description of the research topic:
The topic deals with a complex area, employing the Anglo-Saxon approach, the financial sectors (bank, insurance, stock exchange), and possible additional connection points. The topic is particularly relevant due to the crisis that started/continued in 2008. Since then, measures to improve macroprudential conditions have been accepted and applied. The "too big to fail" problem increasingly defines the situation of international financial markets. Analysis and evaluation of the following topics:
- macro- and micro-prudential compliances,
- corporate and systemic risk management,
- the relationship between financial services and authorized activities, civil contracts,
- the role of the state, the non-profit sector, and customers (companies, private individuals),
- international practices and initiatives: financial transaction tax, CRD I-IV, Basel I-IV, Solvency I-II.
The 19th and 20th centuries were important milestones in the history of financial law and financial administration. Although their recorded history goes back to antiquity and the Middle Ages, it appears very distinct in the second half of the 19th century. Despite the limitations of the period, the topic can be approached from several angles: presentation of the financial regulation and administration of the country, regional organization or legal entity, institution, subdivision, or era. Exploring new historical facts and relationships through interdisciplinary approaches further the inclusion or refutation of results in current knowledge.
