Description of the research topic:
The globalized civilization and the recent transitions have been undergoing a seismic shift, provoking and forcing the participants and experts to rethink century-old business practices. Therefore, we also need to reinvent new avenues to combat escalated financial and economic challenges. Evolutive development affects public and private finances. The regulation and the effectiveness of the state cash flow and the business are getting closer and closer. In the public finances, the sustainable balance, strengthening of accountability and the use of social participation occupy the attention of the legislator. In the private sector, the starting points are Basel I-IV and Solvency I-II. Within FinTech, the automated stock and FX markets, digital currencies, and new emerging transaction platforms like blockchain will need newly architectured financial regulations to safeguard the investor, lenders, and stakeholders to ensure fair competition and a sustainable economy. The topic can be approached from several angles:
- a single state, group of countries or economic organization, municipalities;
- an entity, institution (government, central bank, court of auditors, tax authority, supervisory bodies, international organizations, local government)
- a particular area (public funds, fiscal policy, taxation, monetary policy, financial sector, private finance, local governments, transparency);
- a sector (agriculture, industry, one or more economic sector)
as periods (economic crises, socialist finance, the emergence of a liberal, globalized economy).
