Description of the research topic:

The large body of economic literature has been focusing on developing econometric estimation tools. One of the that fields started to develop in the last decades is spatial econometrics. Exploratory spatial data analysis and spatial econometrics are essential in estimation strategies since they may capture those previously unobserved effects that are related to spatial mechanisms. As such, employing spatial methods is crucial from academic and policy perspectives.

Possible research directions:
Exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA), spatial methods, spatial econometrics
