Description of the research topic:
Managedgroundwater recharge is growing worldwide and interest is also increasing in our country. Treated wastewater is available in large quantities in the vicinity of municipalities. Thus, in addition to rainwater, it also represents a significant water potential in our country. At the same time, to preserve groundwater quality, treatment technologies must guarantee the quality of the water recharged, including new types of contaminants, pharmaceutical residues, hormones and microplastics. The student's task is to investigate the quantitative potential of wastewater in a typical municipality of the Danube-Tisza Interfluve, to analyse the pre-treatment that can achieve the desired water quality for the recharged water and to evaluate which MAR technology will be the most efficient in terms of quantity and quality of the of treated wastewater.
