Description of the research topic:
Development and application of bioactivity assays coupled to thin-layer chromatography The aim of the program is the expansion of the antimicrobial and enzyme inhibitory assays combined with thin-layer chromatography (direct bioautography), especially with the use of plant pathogenic bacterial and fungal strains as well as enzymes implicated in human health. These methods are suitable for the detection of potential active agents of natural products with high efficacy because the biological tests allow constant focusing just on the substances of interest. In-depth examination of the physiological impact of the bioactive agents on test microbes (e.g. using and engineer microbes with special activity detection capabilities) provides insight into how the prospective substances should be utilized, combined, screened, and further developed for practical use
