Description of the research topic:

The decline in cognitive functions accelerates around the age of 45-50. One likely cause for this could be the decrease in the production of sex hormones at this stage of life. In the planned study, we will examine with behavioral and electrophysiological methods how the estrogen hormone level influences changes in various cognitive functions, and whether hormone replacement has a protective role.
