Description of the research topic:
Work is an essential part of our life and it is closely related to subjective well-being. Staff well-being is an increasingly relevant and necessary consideration in the modern workplace since it is a significant aspect of our work and careers. From an organizational angle, wellbeing is a major factor in quality, performance, productivity and therefore business effectiveness and profit. Well-being is strongly connected with work-related stress – there are factors, such as negative workplace climate, unhealthy work conditions, poor leadership, that can have negative impact on our psychological, mental, and physical well-being. Where a person's wellbeing reduces and stress-level increases, so typically declines the individual’s performance and effectiveness. Positive psychology approach can be used in many different ways within the workplace, focusing on and developing employees’ strenghts, generating employee confidence, enhancing positive emotion experiences, individual resources, and meaning of work. This research focuses on work-related stress and well-being, emphasizing theoretical and methodological considerations of positive psychology can be used in the workplace.
