Description of the research topic:

One of the greatest challenges of our time is exploring the psychological and brain factors responsible for the development of cognitive decline and dementia in the elderly. Our research group investigates the development of memory dysfunctions related to the functioning of the hippocampus, with the help of several Hungarian psychiatric and neurological centers. Research aims include the development of new experimental methods and diagnostic techniques that enable the early detection of complex memory disorders that occur in mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
