Description of the research topic:

Drought is a complex, extreme environmental effect for which there is no definition that satisfies all needs. This is partly due to its complex nature, and partly due to the fact that many different scientific and practical fields are involved in the investigation and treatment of the problems which are caused by it. They approach this phenomenon from a different point of view. In our research, focusing on climatic aspects, we analyze the possibilities of quantifying drought and its potential regional effects on crop production.
