Description of the research topic:

Description of research topic: Lactic acid bacteria have been used for centuries to preserve food and feed. In recent decades, they have also become increasingly important as subjects of antimicrobial research, and their effects on plant pathogens and on the plants, themselves are being studied more and more. Although their effects on plant growth are being investigated, much less is known about the underlying mechanism of action. Our aim is to increase this knowledge, to select lactic acid bacteria that have a significant effect on plant growth, and to elucidate the biology behind their effects.
