Description of the research topic:

Reproduction and longevity of beef cows are complex traits of great importance as they reflect the performance during her total herd life. Better reproduction, longer productive life may increase profits by decreasing costs. The aim of the planned research is to estimate the calving, weaning, age at culling etc. results of different breeds and genotypes kept in the different production systems. The genetic and some environmental effects will be studied on the mentioned and other tarits using different statistical methods. The results can be used in the planning and organization of breeding programs.
