Description of the research topic:

The research topic focuses on the syntheses and investigations of new macromolecular materials with predetermined, well-defined structures and defined number of functional groups, and/or on the so-called responsive polymers. Exploring the exact composition and properties of these materials aims at revealing the structure-property relationships of such unique novel macromolecular assemblies. These can lead to the production of a variety of new macromolecular materials with predictable properties. In addition, the functional groups on new macromolecules can be modified by various reactions, so there are many opportunities to develop such new materials which can be used in various specific fields, such as self-assembling drug carriers and catalytically active complex systems.
