Description of the research topic:

Müller cells react to different metabolic stress conditions. We wish to examine their reactions under ischemic and diabetic conditions to see that the secreted factors and what reactions will be elicited in retinal neurons by these factors. Furthermore, PACAP and BDNF will be topically applied under these disease conditions to see of they help to adapt to metabolixc stresses.
