Description of the research topic:

Assessing the financial performance of companies from ESG perspectives

Act CVIII of 2023 set out a framework for the application of ESG criteria for companies in Hungary. The new legal environment will not only make ESG reporting mandatory for companies of public interest, but will also make it an urgent task for medium-sized companies to define the processes related to environmental and social responsibility and to fully comply with their corporate obligations. The development of rules for the whole supply chain, the definition of measurement principles and their application will have an impact on the company's operations and financial performance.
