Description of the research topic:
The essence of the research work is to monitor the time-related challenges affecting territorial (local, regional) development, taking into account the latest territorial development paradigms (e.g. place-based approach, endogenous development). What new approaches, trends and models are known today in connection with regional and local economic development? What justifies their introduction and application? What components are the new trends made of, and can the components be organized using a model? What research-methodological possibilities arise as a result of the methodology and analyzes found in the international literature and expert materials? Are multivariate statistical methods suitable for studying these phenomena? What spatial structure conclusions can be drawn? What policy recommendations can be made? With the help of new trends, how can the success and competitiveness of a region be increased, as well as its innovation potential and adaptability improved?
