Description of the research topic:
The goal of the research is to explore the competitiveness and development potentials of enterprises in sustainability aspects.
A main objective of the research is to explore the external factors and internal features which may influence the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in different sectors and make an international comparison at different level: EU member states, CEE and Eastern European countries, other possible competitors. A special focus is given to sustainable technologies and using green methods along the supply chain. The research database should be built on international and country-level databases; in addition, a primary research should be conducted in order to gather relevant information about the players of the market, in order to explore their present situation. The research discusses the available financing/supporting sources for
enterprise development and examines the good practices and experiences.
Actuality: In the last decade, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises have undergone significant changes and this change remained continuous. The research focuses on the role of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in social and economic aspects, it discusses their financing and support possibilities in their different life cycle stages. The key to the successful future of enterprises lies in
the formulation of the right strategic guidelines both at sectoral and enterprise level, and the improvement of managerial decisions, managerial skills.
