Description of the research topic:

New, complex schizophrenia-like rat models (originated from Wistar and Long Evans strains) are developing by influencing genetic, environmental and pharmacologic methods. Several in vitro and in vivo experiments can improve the validity of these models, applying new behavioral tests, as well.
