Description of the research topic:

One of the greatest public health challenges of our time is to enhance the population's health-conscious behavior, particularly by increasing the level of physical activity. Regular physical activity, primarily endurance exercises that improve cardiovascular functions, has preventive effects on numerous lifestyle-related diseases. Currently, only costly and time-consuming methods are available for accurately measuring the cardiovascular system's capacity, which can estimate the likelihood of occurrence of the mentioned diseases. With appropriate measurement and analysis methods, population screening can be implemented at low costs and high volumes, reducing the number of individuals becoming ill due to incorrect diagnoses or lack thereof. With the correct diagnosis, every individual can reduce the likelihood of developing serious diseases with the implementation of an appropriate exercise program.

During the processing of this topic, theoretical and practical knowledge will be imparted on non-invasive methods for examining cardiovascular functions and their development possibilities.
• What methods can be used to measure and evaluate the body's response to physical exertion?
• What is the optimal load that provides sufficient stress to measure and evaluate adaptability appropriately?
• How do age, estimable endurance, and body proportions modify the stress levels required for conducting measurements?

Doctoral candidates choosing the research topic will receive comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge about measurement procedures that facilitate cost-effective diagnostic and research measurements, as well as the analysis and evaluation methods employed in the field.
