Description of the research topic:
Methodology and diagnostic approaches of measuring human performance
Movement actions, such as walking in our daily lives or the movements of athletes achieving international-level results, are results of complex systems' functioning. One important characteristic of movements is efficiency, while another crucial aspect from a sports perspective is the utilization of the system's maximum capacity to achieve peak performance. To be able to estimate the efficiency of movements and fully utilize the system's capabilities, we need to understand the principles of system operation through measurements and analysis. Based on the available information, with appropriately selected methods, the desired goals can be achieved.
During the processing of this topic, theoretical and practical knowledge will be imparted on measurement techniques and analysis procedures used in movement analysis, as well as on development methods.
• How can movements be optimized based on kinetic and kinematic characteristics?
• What effects do developmental interventions trigger?
• With what efficiency can various rehabilitation procedures be applied?
Doctoral candidates choosing the research topic will receive comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge about procedures examining the musculoskeletal system's muscle mechanical properties and procedures optimizing muscle system function.
