Description of the research topic:

In the course of our work, we create active ingredient combinations that promote the absorption of proteins and other bioactive active ingredients of feed and food products with a health-protecting effect. We develop unique combinations of prebiotics from plant fibers and special polysaccharides, using a new biotechnological process, which support the growth of probiotic bacteria with outstanding efficiency. By means of a comparative analysis of the ability of different enzymes to break down carbohydrates, it is possible to select the most efficient enzyme and process, as well as to conduct a multifaceted examination of the formed degradation products.
The newly developed prebiotic combinations can be used both in human nutrition and as feed supplements for monogastric farm animals. Prebiotics can be produced efficiently, even in industrial volumes, with improved, high-efficiency enzyme processes. Compared to competing products, it is an advantage that the developed materials go through a much more diverse impact assessment compared to the rival’s products, so we can recommend the most effective component combinations. Through the study of factors affecting the biological efficiency of special oligosaccharides, it is possible to explore the relationship between the nature of the carbohydrate and its chain length.
We create prebiotics from vegetable fiber materials, the optimal combination of which, thanks to their different structure, can exert their beneficial effects on the entire section of the large intestine.
The investigation of the spectrum of prebiotic effects of oligosaccharides with different structures and the products of enzyme degradation is carried out using simulated colon microbiota.
