Description of the research topic:

Convergence in Eastern Europe. The main interest in this topic is the groth behavior of the 10 EU member states who were formely planned economies, in Central and Eastern Europe. The research questions include the expected convergence behavior of the region, the role of productivity growth, investment and human capital. An important part of the agenda is the decomposition of productivity into various components, including the institutional environment, knowledge transfers, and intangible capital.
