Description of the research topic:

Rapid urbanization in developing countries is providing chaotic environmental degradation, worsening poverty conditions, over-stretching the capacity of existing infrastructure and exposing urbanites to environmental hazards particularly flooding. This research aims at recognizing the complexity of urbanization in Kenya, as part of developing countries, considering a case of Nairobi city, (whose population is thriving at a fast rate) and emphasizing the need for a comprehensive approach to address the multifaceted flooding and environmental degradation issues that arises because of climate change impacts.
