Description of the research topic:

Background:The IT aspects of cost-effective measurement, signal and data processing of cyber-physical applications can significantly promote technical solutions to the challenges of our time. Their modernization requires the exploration, development and application of new methods and possibilities of IoT-based In Situ measurements.
The purpose of the research: Development of IoT-type In Situ measurements and signal processing procedures based on IT principles, and making cognitive human-machine communication channels more efficient. To this end, by applying the "Brain in the loop" principle, cyber-physical theories related to Artificial Intelligence are integrated into the processes of measurement and signal-processing tasks.
The tasks to be performed: exploring the correlations of the cognitive sensor-actuator, measurement and signal processing methods, procedures, which include the IT expectations realized on the basis of IoT; Assessment of the effectiveness of near-field and far-field electromagnetic spectrum measurement procedures and methods applicable in the "Anechoic Chamber" and external "In-Situ" environment; defining the expectations of the system applying related cognitive procedures.
The necessary equipment: SAC3 EMC chamber for measuring EMC, EMS and EMI requirements, signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers (VNA), actuators (transmitters), measuring instruments and SDR (Software Defined Radio), DRFM (Digital Radio Frequency Memory). Application of drones in the execution of "In-situ" measurements. IT and antenna system supporting ECO-Electromagnetic Performance and Microwave Interferometric measurements.
Expected scientific results: increasing the performance of IoT-based "smart" sensor and actuator devices with cost-effective IT functions.
