Description of the research topic:

The research topic invites candidates to explore the phenomena of transnationalism and diaspora politics through a theoretical and practical approach by elaborating on historical case studies of the emergence of transnational communities and on the current challenges that nation states face structurally, institutionally, politically, economically, socially or culturally in the age of globalization and global migration.
