Description of the research topic:
Research on the cultural history of politics has been significantly strengthened at international level in the field of history over the last two decades. The multi-ethnic Habsburg Monarchy offers particularly good research topics for such studies, and the long neglected or one-sidedly thematised problem of the integration of the Kingdom of Hungary and the Hungarian estates is a particularly exciting issue. The research offers a wide range of possibilities for investigation, from tracing personal careers to analysing political decision-making and studying the representation of power and symbolic politics.
