Description of the research topic:

This topic includes important sites of European public sphere, its institutions (political association, coffee house, salon, club), turning points, working, the publications of books and journals, the statistical or thematic changes of printing, the spread of printing, the formation and the changes of the reading and writing publics. The title also covers the issues of forbidden or radical literature, the analysis of the press and public opinion through key problems, the analysis of discourses, rhetorics, political rhetorics, and issues of language in general.
