Description of the research topic:

Analysis of urban sociological topics such as segregation, division along ethnic lines in Hungarian and foreign examples. Relationship between spatial segregation and social/cultural phenomena and the analysis of hybrid (diasporic or minority) cultural practices in urban space. Proposed case studies or sub-topics: cultural representations of urban poverty and marginalisation; urban (ethnic) festivals; urban memory of minority groups, the discovery of urban realms.
