Description of the research topic:

Our goal is to understand the emergence of the so-called „Jewish languages” (such as Yiddish, Ladino and Judeo-Arabic), in the light of contemporary theories of „hybrid grammars” (cf. creole languages), by implementing these theories as computer simulations.
