THIS TOPIC COMPRISES TWO RESEARCH DIRECTIONS: 1) THE CONTEMPORARY MEANINGS AND SOCIAL USES OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE CONCEPT; 2) THE HISTORIC FORMS OF CULTURAL MEMORY, INCLUDING INSTITUTIONS, MUSEUMS, ARCHIVES ESTABLISHED DURING THE NATION BUILDING PROCESS; NARRATIVES AND PERFORMANCES.
