Description of the research topic:
We invite applications from students who would like to examine Hungarian literature of the interwar period in a broader cultural, social, political and ideological context. The focus of the investigation may vary from the oeuvre of a single author to individual works, the transformation and history of literary institutions (e.g. publishers, organisations, periodicals). Issues such as canonisation, the relationship of international literary and cultural currents, conceptual, discursive and theoretical changes in literary analysis, problems of literary pedagogy and anthropology, or the networks of writers and literati may be explored, including through the methods of digital humanities.
