Description of the research topic:
Neo-Latin literature in Hungary and Central Europe, as far as the 18th-19th century is concerned, is an unexplored area, the previous projects have been directed towards earlier periods. The doctoral workshop aims to explore and present Hungarian and Central European Neo-Latin literature in this period as an integral, dynamic component of the world of contemporary culture, and as a link and medium between the contemporary, diverse national cultures. We place special emphasis on the exploration, presentation, and re-interpretation of contemporary Latin-language journalism, theoretic literature (e.g. aesthetics), prose, and Latin poetry.
