Description of the research topic:

Research proposals are welcome that deal with the Hungarian reception of international trends in literary theory with a special focus on the political, social and intellectual historical context of the process of intercultural mediation. Ideally, a Hungarian literary theorist, literary historian or critic is at the center of the research project. While research is based on a thorough reading of published texts, the PhD student is expected to consult archival materials if applicable.
