Description of the research topic:

The modern sociological theory on spatial poetics and interdisciplinary research related to the context of Russian urban texts can provide an important perspective on identity in literature and visual arts as an intermediate cultural medium. This is of particular interest in the mapping of national and cultural identities as expressed through historical layers of memory culture, in the literature of memory and exile in emigration.
