Location of studies (in Hungarian): ELTE TTK, Dept. of Biological Anthropology
Abbreviation of location of studies: ELTE

Description of the research topic:

Oncometabolites are aberrantly accumulated small molecules derived from disrupted TCA cycle in several cancers, including glioma, leukemia, neuroendocrine tumors and renal cancer. The candidate will work with nematodes carrying clinically relevant mutations in different TCA cycle-related genes and will analyze the effects of the accumulating metabolites exerted on metabolism and signal transduction by using worm models.

Required language skills: English
Further requirements:
Master degree in Biology

Number of students who can be accepted: 1
