A buddhista tradíció valamelyik jelentős gondolkodójának művét elemezzük, eredeti nyelvű szövegek alapján. Lehetséges a Buddha filozófiájára fókuszálni, avagy valamelyik későbbi (théraváda, madhjamaka, jógácsára, abhidharma vagy pramána) iskola egy meghatározott aspektusára.
