Description of the research topic:

Ez a jelenleg zajló prospektív tanulmány egy pleiotrop neurohormon, a melatonin és a gyulladásos folyamatok (SIRS/sepsis) közötti összefüggéseket vizsgálja. Az eddigi adataink alapján az intravénás citalopram kezelésnek melatonin dependens/independens immunmodulátor szerepe lehet a kritikus állapotú betegekben. Cél: A tanulmány befejezése a tervezett esetszámon, ahol már a mortalitásra vonatkozóan is következtetéseket lehet levonni.
