Description of the research topic:

): The characteristics of communication mediated by hardware and software (email, instant messages, video calls), as well as the impact of social media on English language use and its role in English language learning and teaching. The applicability of generative artificial intelligence, such as LLM-based chatbots or spoken dialog systems (SDS) in language learning and teaching. Characteristics of English language use directed towards such agents, linguistic accommodation, and recipient design in human-computer interactions.
