Description of the research topic:

The subject area includes research on the characteristics of the interactions taking place in different asymmetric communication situations, as well as their implications for the teaching, learning, and use of the English language. Examining the use of English by speakers of different L1s and/or different cultural backgrounds in different intercultural contexts (e.g., residence/study abroad; ) from a pragmatic and/or communicative point of view.
