Description of the research topic:

Sustainability is one of today’s key challenges. Sustainability, its related concepts, and the underlying complexities must be communicated to consumers while adapting the communication to the given culture. The research aims to analyze culture-specific and culture-independent elements in the communication of sustainability-related topics. For example, the topic may deal with social marketing campaigns, questions of science communication, but it may also focus on encouraging consumers to consume more sustainably (e.g., reducing food waste, buying regional products, or purchasing second-hand products). The topic focuses mainly on the linguistic elements of sustainability communication.
