Description of the research topic:

The analysis of child-parent conversations is particularly important, especially from the perspective of conversation analysis, ethnography of speaking, and psycholinguistics. Fine-grained analysis based on conversation analytic methods reveals the general linguistic and interactional patterns of child-parent conversations, e.g. in turn organization, actions, or repair strategies, thereby helping to explore family interactions and childhood communication. The ethnographic examination of these discourses is also crucial, especially for describing the typical contemporary settings and sociocultural norms of conversations between children and parents. From a psycholinguistic perspective, these analyses can be particularly useful in the research of language acquisition, but they can also play a valuable role in examination of other phenomena.
