Description of the research topic:

This is an interface study between cultural linguistics, cognitive linguistics and linguistic typology from an intercultural perspective. It includes the study of such topics as categorization, image schema, metaphor, metonymy, emotion, motion; semantic typology, lexical typology, lexical cognitive semantics, cognitive grammar, construction grammar, cognitive pragmatics, sociocognitive linguistics, so on and so forth. Research on these topics can reveal universalities and variation of human language, culture and cognition.
