Description of the research topic:
Research on Ottoman literary texts, the publication of hitherto unedited manuscript sources, the study and translation of printed texts are integral part of the tradition of Hungarian turkology. Through the publication of unedited manuscripts or the study and translation of Ottoman literary texts, the programme aims at following in the footsteps of well-known Hungarian scholars like Ármin Vámbéry, Tibor Halasi-Kun and György Hazai.
