Description of the research topic:
Aspect and tense – their categories in language are the main topics which will be discussed in the course. The problem of the LWV of time will also be touched upon, as both tenses and aspects can be considered as linguistic manifestations of the conceptualization of physical time. The different theories and views about aspect and tense will also be presented in the course, so that students will have the opportunity to form a comprehensive picture of how the category of aspect and tense has changed over the history of Slavonic languages, especially Polish.
