Scientific research about the Tiantai school of Chinese Buddhism, more specifically one of the school’s leading figures, the Tang Dynasty monk, Zhanran, and his philosophical ideas about Buddha-nature; moreover, the classification and analysis of Buddhist thoughts representative of the Sinicized schools of Buddhism (such as the Buddha-nature of the insentient).
