Description of the research topic:

In recent decades, the main research areas of international Turkic studies have been dominated by linguistics and history, while the folklore of Turkic-speaking peoples has been little researched (with the exception of Russian and local studies). The research topic includes all branches of textual folklore genres (e.g. folktales, legends, folk-religious texts, incantations) and may be based on any Turkic language corpus, whether recent or historical.
