Location of studies (in Hungarian): Research Centre for Natural Sciences (ELKH)
Abbreviation of location of studies: ELKH

Description of the research topic:

In general, the (chemo)therapeutic drugs has severe side-effects on healthy cells. The temporal- and spatial controlled release(uncaging) of drugs can decrease these side-effects. Our aim is to test conditional drug release triggered and evoked by the changed conditions (enyme activity, receptor overexpression, pH and oxido-reductive conditions) inside and in the surrpounding of the tumour. The study include enzymekinetic measurements and development of 2D and 3D cell culture modell system for testing conditionally activable drugs being appropriate preclinical models that precede or replace live animal studies. Furthermore we planned to include protein expression proteins applicable to target tumor cells and labeling them with the chemical biology toolkit.

Required language skills: English
Further requirements:
Biotechnologist, bioengeneer, biologist, medical MsC. degree, advantageous: sterile cell culture handling, theoretical knowledge and practice in molecular biology, protein expression and purification, and in enzyme kinetics and software handling
