Description of the research topic:

The Paleo-Mesozoic rocks of the Bükk Mts. suffered several alterations, which are scarcely studied. A remarkable alteration causing enrichment of high field strength elements was recently discovered, which has economic, mineralogical, geochemical and tectonic significance as well. The HFSE belong to the critical mineral resources in Europe. In the frames of this topic the tasks are field sampling and mapping, making mineralogical and chemical tests in the laboratory for establishing a genetic and spatial geological model of the process.
